A Corner Of Heaven
In just a little while,
My Savior will be calling me
To come and be at home with Him
Beyond the Crystal Sea.
I'll walk up to the Pearly gates
He will hold them open wide.
I'll leave this old sick body
My soul will step inside.
If I'm not worthy of a mansion, Lord,
Just save a corner of Heaven for me.
I'll see family and friends,
I'll heed their beck and call,
But I want to see my Savior
The very first of all.
I could have sung His praises more
I could have testified
Of how they nailed Him to the cross
Of how He suffered, bled, and died.
I've never been as humble, Lord,
As you wanted me to be.
If I'm not worthy of everything,
Just save a corner of Heaven for me.
I've always loved my Savior
I know He loves me too,
Although I don't always do the things
He would have me do.
He has never failed me;
He hears my every call.
I would rather have one corner of Heaven
Than have no Heaven at all.
